Brenda Ross-Dulan has a thrilling conversation with her dear friend, Lena Kennedy, founder of LL Kennedy & Associates and an expert on community engagement and political strategies. They met over 25 years ago when Brenda was living in Los Angeles. This veteran community and political strategist is considered one of the most influential conduits from Sacramento, California to Washington, DC.

Lena’s career as a community builder and strategic consultant began over thirty years ago when she assisted with fundraising and campaign activities for Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley for Governor. Since then, she has worked with numerous candidates and elected officials, including President Barack Obama, Congresswomen Diane Watson, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Judy Chu, Maxine Waters, Karen Bass as well as Congressman Adam Schiff.  Most recently, Lena was appointed National Vice-Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

With over 38 years of working with numerous corporate executives, city governments, and local, state, and federal elected officials, a passion for supporting women, and a deep love for the community, Lena Kennedy has touched over 32,000 people in her Southern California Women’s Health Conference and as the CEO of Women in Leadership Vital Voices, an organization that seeks to make its members the most informed women in the United States about public policy, politics, and how they both really work. Enjoy the podcast episode below:
